Welcome to the Fairfax Soccer League (FSL), the premier destination where soccer, fitness, and community come together year-round. We provide a competitive and enjoyable environment where players of all levels can stay active, enjoy the game they love, and leave the stress of daily life behind for a few hours each week. FSL is proud to be the area’s only year-round league exclusively dedicated to players over 50 and over 60. We offer a fun, welcoming, inclusive, and affordable environment for those who want to remain active and continue playing the beautiful game well beyond their younger years.
League Structure and Competition
The Fairfax Soccer League is organized into several distinct divisions to ensure a balanced and competitive experience for every participant. Our Over 50 Division 1 features 6 teams and is designed for highly competitive play, while the Over 50 Division 2 includes 8 teams focused on a harmonious balance of competition and recreation. For those looking for a different pace, our Over 60 8v8 League features 4 teams playing a fast-paced, small-sided format. Additionally, we offer an Over 60 Pick-up option with 2 teams for players seeking a more casual and social soccer experience.
Year-Round Play on Premier Fields
Our matches run throughout the year across two comprehensive seasons. Each team is scheduled to play at least one match per week, weather permitting. Season One combines Spring and Summer, typically beginning in mid-March and running through late August. Season Two covers the Fall and Winter months, usually starting in early September and concluding in late February. To ensure a professional and fair playing environment, all matches are held on high-quality fields within Fairfax County and are officiated by certified referees.
Registration and Joining the Community
Registration is open year-round, and we encourage all players to register early to reserve their place with a current team or to be placed on a new one. As the league continues to grow, roster space remains limited, making early registration highly recommended. All players, whether new or returning, must register and sign a liability waiver before they are permitted to play in the league.
New Player Tryouts
New players are always welcome to join our growing community. If you are new to the area or the league, we invite you to register for a tryout. To get started, simply click on the Tryout link and complete the sign-up form. We will arrange a time for you to come out, experience the level of play, and get a feel for the atmosphere. If you decide to continue, we will place you on a team based on your playing level and preferred positions.
